The Company was founded in 2015, with diverse projects. Within these year Trescorp has developed many businesses related to trading of crude oil and refined petroleum products. In 2017 Trescorp signed an agreement with Sohar Oman, the biggest Arab oil producer outside of OPEC, to construct a new crude and refined oil terminal at Sohar Port (Oman). The terminal is visioned as an independent and privately run 45-hectare oil terminal, which will serve as a propeller to boost Trescorp’s trading activities within the GCC region, East Africa and Asia. The terminal will provide complete various services including storage, blending and bunkering. Its capacity will be approximately 1,800,000 m3 and will also be supported by quick ship-turnaround marine berths, with capacity to receive Very Large Crude Carriers or VLCC oil tankers of 320,000 dwt (supertankers). The initial investment sums up to 600 million $US.

Five hectares of the Project will be allocated for the development of a Lubrication Park that will blend various grades of lubricating oil products that include marine grade lubricants. Supply of the productos will also include bulk delivery with lube barges to tankers bunkering in Sohar port. The project will also include road tanker access to the new facility.

Sohar Port and Freezone signed a contract with Trescopr Alliance Pte to build an initial fuel-storage capacity of 600.000 cubic meters (21.2k cubic feet). With this facility, the port will triple its facility to 1.8 million cubic meters within a year.

During the first phase of the Project Tescorp will install tanks to store and blnd crude, jet fuel and diésel. The next phase will add products like gasolina and jet fuel. With this facilities the regional demand will be far greater since the expanded facility will have six Deep-water berths, one of which will be capable of handling very large VLCCs.

The SOHAR location was selected for its excellent deep-water Access and for its strategic location ouside the Strait of Hormuz, close to the Gulf Sates and the Indian subcontinent.
